Canadians are passionate about hockey, and this program gives people who use electric wheelchairs the opportunity to play the sport they love.
The CEWHA has provided a safe environment for all to enjoy this great Canadian pastime since 1980. This organization does more than teach hockey skills for people with physical disabilities, it also teaches leadership, communication and team building skills necessary in everyday life.
Spectators are always welcome. Hockey games take place on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons at Mitchell Fields Community Centre from fall to spring.
Be a part of this exciting, growing sport!
The CEWHA hires professional referees and has divisions and affiliates in Southwestern ON, Calgary AB, Victoria BC and Winnipeg MB.
A National Championship for all CEWHA divisions takes place every other year. The sport is also gaining popularity in the US, and the alternate years the CEWHA participates in a North American Championship including teams from all over Canada and the US.
The CEWHA was honoured to be officially recognized by the Hockey Hall of Fame and to have our Championship Trophy on permanent display there.
Help us build this amazing sport, one player at a time.
