Day One at the 2011 OPSG

Sarnia, ON – Day 1 of the Sarnia 2011 Ontario ParaSport Summer Games kicked off this morning with the Opening Ceremonies at St. Patrick’s High School/Sarnia Athletics Southwest T&F Complex.

The Ceremonies featured some of Sarnia-Lambton’s best local entertainment and talent. It was Rick Ball,  currently the only single amputee runner to break 3hours in a marathon, that carried the Ontario ParaSport Summer Games Torch the final leg of the relay and into the Opening Ceremonies.

Events including Boccia, Goalball and began on Friday, with Athletics, Lawn Bowling, ParaEquestrian, and Wheelchair Tennis commence on Saturday.  Make sure you come out to watch and cheer on your favorite athletes competing for the gold in Sarnia!
