Renee has been an active member of the OCPSA – Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sports Association’s Provincial program for over 10 years. She began her Athletics career while just a preteen. She has competed in multiple Provincial and National Championships, as well as traveled the world to compete in International, open competition. Her talent and skill secured her a spot with the National Program, as she represented Canada at the 2016 Paralympic Summer Games in Rio – she placed 4th in the F38 Discus, making Canada proud.

Renee will represent Canada once again at the IPC World Championships in Athletics this July.

From a personal note, Renee is one of the most honest, genuine and nicest people you will ever come across. Her commitment not only to her sport but to the ParaSport community as a whole is second to none. It’s in thanks to the commitment of our athlete ambassadors such as Renee that allows ParaSport Ontario the ability to offer our introductory sports programs. Renee gives not only athletes with a physical disability someone in whom they can look up too but athletes overall, as a leader in her community in sport.

Congratulations Renee, we’re so proud.
