Swim Ontario is the Provincial Sports Organization for competitive swimming in Ontario. We are divided into six (6) regions: Central, Eastern, Huronia, North East, North West and Western, representing 140 clubs.
Swim Ontario acts as the governing body to competitive swim clubs in the province under the umbrella of the national body of Swimming Natation Canada. The organization of swimming events and programs are principally carried out by our clubs. The regions and Swim Ontario itself reflect the effort of Ontario clubs to work together and to coordinate the delivery of common programs.
Swimmers with a disability (SWAD) are classified into classes S1-S10 for functional disability, S11-S13 for visual impairments and S14 form intellectual disability for competition. SWAD are fully integrated into able bodied programs, both recreationally and competitively, and are eligible for training camps, tour teams and athlete assistance programs
