August 19-21
The 2011 Ontario ParaSport Summer Games are coming to Sarnia-Lambton! We are extremely excited about welcoming the athletes in 2011 and showcasing what our community has to offer.
The Sarnia-Lambton Ontario ParaSport Summer Games Organizing Committee are hard at work preparing for the 2011 Ontario PararSport Summer Games. We have an amazing vision of what these Games will accomplish, not only for athletes, but also for our community.
Our goal is to successfully present the Games to the Athletes and the Province as a benchmark for excellence in hosting provincial sporting events.
Ontario’s top-level athletes will compete in six sports: Athletics, Boccia, Goalball, Lawnbowling, ParaEquestrian and Wheelchair Tennis.
The Games will be held at the Sarnia Athletics Southwest Track & Field Complex, St. Patrick’s High School, Sarnia Riding Club, Sarnia Lawnbowling Club and Fiddick’s Stables in Petrolia.
With the demonstrated interest and support from our community we know that Sarnia-Lambton will once again host a great set of Games.
Over the next year, as you, the athletes are preparing to qualify for these Games, the host committee and over 100 volunteers will be hard at work getting ready.
Sarnia Lambton has welcomed and embraced the Ontario ParaSport Summer Games in the past (2003 & 2007) and we look forward once again welcoming everyone to Sarnia-Lambton in 2011. In 2007 we had the honour of accepting an award acknowledging the success of our Games and we look forward to once again exceeding those expectations.
The countdown to the 2011 Ontario ParaSport Summer Games begins today. See you soon.
Sincerely,
Vicky Praill & Rob Janoska
