The Hespeler Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club in cooperation with the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is offering a 9 week SPIKES SITTING VOLLEYBALL Program for Cambridge and surrounding area.
The Scorpions Volleyball Club starting on January 11th, 2012 will be offering at WoodlandPark Public School, 555 Ellis Road W. Cambridge, Ontario from 6-7:30pm for 9 weeks the OVA SPIKES SITTING VOLLEYBALL Learn to Play Program.
Sitting volleyball is a discipline of disabled volleyball that is played while sitting on the floor. Sitting volleyball however can be played by anyone. One of the great features of sitting volleyball is the fact that it provides the opportunity to easily integrate able-bodied athletes and athletes with a disability on a more level playing field.
The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is the only club that will be offering the Sitting Volleyball SPIKES Learn to Play Program west of Toronto in Ontario. Course Instructor Natalie Czornyj will use Volleyball Canada and OVA training materials.

The OVA SPIKES Sitting Volleyball Program is available to youth and adults, born 1999 and older. Participants with physical disability as well as able bodied participants are welcome to register. The cost is $75.00 and includes a SPIKES t-shirt. 2nd family registration is only $50. Registration is available on the Scorpions website at http://www.scorpionsvolleyball.ca/ .
