About

Renee Foessel is a decorated Track and Field athlete, who recently represented Canada at the Toronto 2015 Parapan Am Games. She was able to win gold (discus throw), silver (shot put) and bronze (javelin throw) in three different categories on home soil. She also had the privilege of representing Canada at the 2011 Gaudalajara Parapan Am Games, where she placed fourth in the javelin throw. Renee got her start in sports at the ErinoakKids Centre, where she played baseball, sledge hockey and eventually track and field. As an athlete ambassador Renee likes to spread the message of “No matter what, try the best you can. Don’t be afraid to go past your comfort level no matter what anyone else says.”
