Classification

Football 5-a-side, also known as blind football, is an adaptation of football for athletes with visual impairment. Five outfield players and one goalkeeper make up a football 5-a-side squad. Outfield players must be fully blind (B1), which implies they have very low visual acuity and/or no light sensitivity, but goalkeepers must be sighted or partially seeing (B2 or B3 category).
