How about some pedal power as a competitive sport or a leisurely ride with
family or friends? There are all kinds of different bikes and trikes and
adaptive bike equipment to put cycling on your list of "must try's". Adapted
bikes come in all shapes and sizes, from bicycles-built-for-two for blind
and visually impaired riders to handcycles for those with mobility
impairments. Trikes are great for those with balance issues.
If competitive cycling is more your speed, there are competitions in road
events, pursuit, sprint and individual time trials. For introductory and
competitive programs visit the
Ontario Cycling Association website.
