Over 115 athletes participated in the Rotary Club of Whitby ParaSport® Festival this weekend and were introduced to sitting volleyball from talented Athlete Ambassadors like Paralympian Jolan Wong. More than $8,000.00 worth of adaptive sport equipment will be donated to individuals and community groups because of this event and the phenomenal support of the Rotary Club of Whitby, Ontario Volleyball Association, Ontario Power Generation, Stuttering John’s Smokehouse and Flash Automotive Repair Inc.
The 23rd annual Active Living Conference took place at Variety Ontario, popular among college and university students, educators, coaches, community organizers and families interested in increasing their awareness of inclusive and healthy active living opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
