According to Revenue Canada, 100% of the remaining balance of any registered savings must be added to income in the year of death. By making a charitable contribution of an RRSP or RRIF, a donor could save considerable tax.
Life Insurance
Gifts of life insurance allow donors to turn a relatively small gift now into a large gift in the future. A new policy can assign ownership to ParaSport® Ontario, name ParaSport® Ontario as a beneficiary, or give a paid-up policy.
Tributes and Bequests
Honour an individual by giving your gift in their memory or make provisions in your will by bequeathing shares of stock, specifying a cash gift or by leaving a portion of your estate. Your estate receives the full tax relief of your gift.
Cash and Other Gifts
A one-time gift, a regular monthly gift, or a gift pledge over multiple years, all are gratefully accepted. Donors receive a tax receipt for the full amount of the gift. This includes gifts of shares, bonds and mutual funds.
